Elle Caerbert is a portrait artist based in Fort Worth, Texas. Her work explores the emotional undercurrents that shape identity, memory, and human connection. Drawing inspiration from personal experience and observation, Elle’s practice centers around the inner lives of her subjects. Often capturing unposed raw reflections and inviting viewers to feel something deeply. Through high contrast oil paintings and thoughtful storytelling, she creates imagery that feels both intimate and cinematic.
Themes of culture, travel, and personal connection are often present in her work, but always filtered through a lens of emotional honesty. Her paintings are less about perfect likeness and more about presence, capturing mood, energy, and truth in a moment in time.
Although Elle has made art throughout her life, everything shifted in 2021 when she picked up a brush again after years away. Her first piece was a quiet, stirring scene of boys in the ocean that later became the cover for Oscar nominated artist Abraham Alexander’s debut album. That painting marked a breakthrough, not only in her career but in her understanding of her artistic voice. It was then that Elle began to recognize her signature style, loose, expressive brushwork with hints of realism, often paired with a minimal composition or a focused emphasis on one powerful detail.
Since then, Elle’s work has steadily gained recognition. She’s participated in both solo and group shows and her paintings have been featured on CBS News, in Dallas Observer, Fort Worth Weekly, and on the cover of Fort Worth Lifestyle Magazine. Collectors are drawn to the emotional clarity of her work, its ability to hold stillness and story at once.
