This charcoal study is part of a small series I created based on the church outside my bedroom window during my time in the French countryside. Each day, I watched the light shift across the structure at different hours. The church slowly became part of the rhythm of my days there. Its bells woke mach morning and echoed through the town again at night as I went to bed. Over time, it became less about capturing the atmosphere, repetition, and stillness surrounding it.

Drawn on toned paper, these studies focus on light, shape, and memory. They are small moments that became deeply tied to my experience there.
