France 2026 / Collection of Studies

These works were created quietly over the course of my month in France.

Between long studio sessions, walks through small towns, early mornings, and evenings spent chasing the last light before it disappeared.

Many of them are raw, immediate studies painted alla prima on loose paper or unstretched canvas. Imperfect, instinctive, and deeply tied to the rhythm of daily life in the French countryside. Rather than polished pieces, they are fragments of observation and moments I wanted to hold onto before they passed.

Together, this collection feels like bringing home pieces of the experience itself.

The shifting light outside my window, the sound of church bells in the morning, market walks, studio exhaustion, quiet meals, and the slower way of seeing that I am carrying home with me to you.
